I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, came across Canada by Via Rail at the age of 7 years to arrive in beautiful Nova Scotia. I established my roots in the Annapolis Valley at the young age of 12 and have resided in the Annapolis Valley for over 20 years. I am fully bilingual; speaking and writing both French and English. Currently, I am working as a French teacher, passionate volunteer for Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Southwest Nova and Valley Chapter President, mini-handball coach, dedicated wife of Tim Vallillee and proud mother to son Isaiah, age 13 years.
If elected, will you support taking the dispute with Valley Waste to binding arbitration?
I fully support and strongly agree that taking the dispute to binding arbitration is the way to proceed. This process is absolutely the most fair and honest way to go. This should never have got to this point. I know the excellent work that Valley Waste does and they are well known even on an international scale so it’s unfortunate that citizens weren’t consulted in this manner. With arbitration, a solution will be found!

1) Do you support a review of the number of councillors required for Annapolis County? Yes
2) Do you support having a mayor elected by the population at large? Yes, I absolutely support a review of the number of councillors.
What ideas or plans do you have for constructive community engagement? Yes, I also agree that the mayor should be elected by the population from the councillors voted in that would like to lead as mayor.
What ideas or plans do you have for constructive community engagement?
My strength is in community engagement.
I plan on gathering top Valley musicians, photographers, and artisans to organize special events that bring County citizens together so citizens feel more engaged while building community and strength naturally.
With fresh new events, Annapolis County citizens will feel connected to their neighbors, community and county council.
I also feel that a variety of media coverage for each engagement is crucial in reaching out to all citizens.
We must create better portals of communication and transparency with the council. I suggest modern and updated platforms including our website, Facebook, call-ins and other media.
What do you see as the top three priorities for Annapolis County, and how do you plan to address them?
1) First Priority: Senior care, senior living and better senior support. << I plan on developing proper long term care facilities that adress today’s seniors needs as well as be affordable for all. I also plan on putting in place a sustainable musique therapy program in every senior care facility! >>
2)Second Priority: Property Taxes<< I plan on reviewing the budget with the council and looking at putting in place an action plan to either increase the services offered in Annapolis County or work in decreasing taxes.>>
3. Third priority: Clear communication from Council << I plan on working hard with the other councillors to develop a communication plan that responds to all Annapolis County residents. With today’s technology and putting our strengths together, I plan on being responsible for monthly communication via several formats!>>
